Myles Ellington Twitty is a trumpeter, bandleader, composer, and arranger from Cincinnati, Ohio. To date, Myles has been fortunate to perform with some of today's most prominent Jazz luminaries like Rodney Whitaker, Jerome Jennings, Dr. Eddie Henderson, Pasquale Grasso, Frank Vignola, Winard Harper, Kurt Elling, the Roy Hargrove Big Band and others. He has also performed at some of the premier venues of the East Coast including: Birdland, The Jazz Gallery, Carnegie Hall, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center to name a few.

Educator

Myles has always understood the importance of ensuring that music students of all levels have access to the best education possible. He has maintained recurring roles with premier Jazz education organizations including Jazz House Kids and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Before stepping away to pursue his own higher education, he served as the Assistant Director of the Cincinnati Jazz Academy where he directed a number of ensembles from beginning, intermediate to even advanced levels. He currently serves as the Vice President of Jazz Alive and as the Founder and Director of the Frank B. Foster Summer Jazz Camp.
